And so it begins... Well first was the Eller Honors Thesis Showcase, but here are pictures from the actual graduation ceremonies.
On Thursday, May 6th, I had two graduation related events. The first was the
Management Department's Senior Reception
where we ate lunch and got recognized for being a graduating senior in their department. My parents and brother were able to come to this event along with Cory which was held at the business school.

Next was the Honors Graduation.
So yes, I graduated with Honors and it was truly a lot of work. Over my time at the University of Arizona, I had to take 30 units of honors classes and participate in a honors thesis which is done over the last year in school. Now, taking 30 honors units isn't too big of a deal if you take a lot of honors gen-eds, but I didn't take a single honors general education class because I wasn't in honors until the end of my freshman year. Also, I didn't really decide that I was going to try to graduate with honors until the semester before my last year in college. Which meant this last semester I had to do an additional 2 contracts for honors in my classes, which meant 2 additional class projects along with the 15 regular units I am already taking and my honors thesis. I can say that I was pretty busy this last semester. So any-who, this is a big accomplishment to me to be able to push myself to do all of these things and graduate with great grades and honors. Here are some photos from the actual ceremony:
So I know its pretty light, but here is the actual slide that was put up as I walked across the stage to get my medallion for graduating with Honors. Originally the lights were off in the front to make it dark enough to really read the slides, but this was all after the actual event. Here I am with Cory :-)
My parents and Justin all came to this ceremony and as you can see, my dad is wearing the cord I got from the Eller Thesis Showcase, which Cory insisted on me wearing with my dress :-P
Katie Baker!!! She has been a really good friend of mine since... sophomore year I believe... I think that's when I took Bio. She will be going on to do her PHD in California, so I will really miss our 6+ hour long conversations, but I am glad she has been a part of my college life. Also, I came like 2 minutes before the ceremony started and she saved me a seat :-)
Cory's Parents also came to my ceremony :-) It was really nice that they came and I was glad to get the opportunity to see them and spend time with them. We played some games after eating at Chopped and before they left to go back to Phoenix!
