Sedona :-)

DAY 1

Being Labor Day Weekend, traffic was a mess so we didn't end up getting to Sedona until early afternoon (after sleeping in of course).  Lunch was BBQ- which is always Cory's Favorite.

We stayed at a small hotel in South Sedona.  It would have been nice to stay right in Sedona and have been able to walk to everything, but we really enjoyed this place and the drive to everything was short and always had wonderful views.  Cory especially liked the in-room jacuzzi :-)

Dinner at the Hideaway Cafe.  I really wish we could have gone here during the day because it is right on the edge of a cliff and would have been so beautiful.

Some of Sedona's Art

DAY 2
Hike at Huckaby

I don't know why I look posed here, but I was kind-of balancing between 2 rocks.

Lunch at Sedona's version of Beyond Bread

BELL ROCK
(climbing up and at the top)

Everything was so beautiful....

To continue with being adventurous food wise(I never mentioned this before, but at the beginning of the trip Cory and I decided not to have anything we can have in Phoenix/Tucson and to try new things, which mostly meant no Subway) Cory and I decided to try cactus at Oaxaca.  As you can see in the image below, it is literally a cactus pad that is grilled and has some sauce.  I wasn't a big fan, but Cory ate about 1/2 of the whole pad.  The texture is really squishy in the middle.  I did try it, but didn't go back for seconds.  I guess it is actually very healthy for you...

DAY 3

Breakfast at the Red Rock Cafe which was located just behind our hotel.  yum :-)

On our drive home, this is a image of Bell Rock.

I will definitely be coming back here soon.  Everything went so well and was just beautiful to see.
