Double Dates

Double dates are so much fun! You get to spend time with your significant other while spending time with some of your favorite people. I have been on some not as fun double dates where I was there to hang out with my friend’s boyfriend ‘s friend, but still, the group size for a double date couldn’t be better. 4 people is such a good number to go out with. Not too many, but not too few either.

This last weekend I went on a double date with Angela! Her and her hubby (Stu) and Cory and I ended up going to Dave and Busters in Tempe where we ate dinner and played arcade games. We weren't able to get the special where you buy dinner and get free game play, but Stu was nice enough to give us some coupons so we got $20 of game play for the price of $10.

Here is the 4 of us playing a shooting game! Stu had already started the game so that’s why he wasn’t looking at the camera. I ended up playing the longest, though I don’t think that I had the best shots. I just had the gun that was similar to a machine gun and I just continually shot and reloaded! So if you ever play the game, that’s my suggestion for winning!

Here is Stu playing this ball drop game. I don’t know how anyone wins this. He was really good at getting the ball to drop on the “jackpot” hole, but it never went in because it has this thick yellow ring around it. It just doesn’t drop right in the center of the hole, so its pretty much impossible. To try to get more tickets, we “tapped” the plastic around the spinning wheel so the ball would go towards the jackpot. Ang always hit the ball into the 2 ticket circle and away from the high ticket circles, so you may not want to ask her to hit the plastic for you :-P

This is one of those games where you shoot water into a clown face or something like that. It was super close, but I think Stu won.

Here’s Cory and my cousins! Stu and Ang are such a cute couple.

Finally this is a helicopter game that gets you pretty dizzy. Basically you are a helicopter and have triggers in the handle bars. Cory and I are looking into a screen that shows who is shooting at us and who we need to shoot and kill. In order to turn to the right or left, you have to spin around and to look up or down, you need to move accordingly. The same image on my screen is on the screen at the top of yellow machine. It was pretty fun, but I didn’t know that you could hold down the machine gun, therefore my fingers were really tired after this one. I think that Ang and Stu were laughing at me because I was moving around so much while cory would just turn his body :-)
