Last Weekend in Tucson before Softball and School starts :-(

So since I have joined a softball team, this weekend was the last one for the semester that I will be going to Tucson on a Friday, and one of the last weekends before Cory starts his master program.  Here are some photos of what we did this weekend.

Look at my boys sleeping together in the car on the way there :-)
I did happen to wake them up with the flash because I was trying to get a good angle, but at first they were pretty much passed out and snuggling together.

Once we arrived in Tucson and was driving on the surface streets these babies got excited!

At Cory's Place: While Cory and I were eating some Pei Wei, KC started whining in the other room.  We went to look and found him staring at Cory's planes.  He kept going over to the planes and just stood and stared.  We found out that a morsel of Eva's dog food was under one of the planes, but KC was too afraid of touching the planes to get it, hehe

Spumante = YUM!
Do you like the glass choices we had, either a wine glass that's the size of a shot or a huge glass... this is definitely a boys home.

Cory opening the champagne.

Date Night on Saturday :-D  We went to Outback Steakhouse- originally we were going to go to Texas RoadHouse near Park Place mall, however once we got there it was a 40-50 minute wait.  BTW- Cory and I made a bet where he thought the wait would be at least and hour.  I won which means we get to play 4 games of SKIP-BO next time he is in Phoenix :-P

Cory at Outback after dinner.

Me at Outback finishing my meal.  Outback actually has pretty good drink specials with my glass of wine only costing $2.50, about the same as Cory's Coke.

Sunday we attempted to go to this Mexican restaurant close to Cory's home.  However, again we did not make any reservations and the wait would have been 45 minutes for lunch.  Instead we decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants, Macayos.

I had to get my own dish at Macayos- which was a strange experience.  Usually Cory and I order 1 appetizer and 1 entree and share (because I don't eat too much) but this time he wanted his own food :-(

If you look at a previous post, Macayo's needs to work on their take-out cups.  They did a little better at this Macayo's, but still, the only way to put the lid on is to put it upside down.  Still a work in progress I guess.

While at the UofA, I took an online survey and ended up winning a $50 gift card, which I finally used to buy myself a couple shirts and Cory a shirt that matches one of the shirts that I got.  This was pretty much the end of my time in Tucson, with dinner at Chopped and then a long- weather/police filled drive home:

If you can see at the bottom of this picture, there is basically a wall of dusk that I am approaching.  The first 45 minutes of my drive was in pretty hard rain with several puddles on this AZ freeway that isn't built for rain.  I got close to running out of gas and when I stopped at Marana the power went out and the gas pumps were all down :-( , and there were several police cars along the freeway, mostly swerving back and forth in front of traffic to slow it down.  It was an experience, but definitely worth the fun weekend with my boys.
