So now I have been at my job for 2.5 months and I am no longer the newbie in my team. There are a few new hires, and since them coming in, I have really felt more confident with my job.
Here is the actual building I work in and this could be a photo straight from my parked car, but its from online :-P I gotta say that I am really happy with my job right now, since being able to authorize my own payments, my efficiency has gone way up and I am just starting to really get it all. I still have so many questions because every situation is so different and there is really a ton you need to know to do this job. You need to know how the laws work, how the policies work, how accidents happen, how to determine liability, Liberty mutual's way of doing things, how to keep in good faith when processing claims, protecting the insured and ourselves legally, treating everyone as if they are current or potential policyholders, rental stuff, totaled vehicles, special vehicles- motorcycles, trailers, ATVs, etc. Its just SO MUCH information that I really have respect for all of the people I work with because it really is not an easy job. I mean, sometimes work does seem like an episode of the office, but overall, I am really happy and I really like the people that I work with. They are so helpful and welcoming and it's been nice to get to know them in the workplace, at lunch and now outside of the workplace with my softball team.
More to come on my worklife- but so far no drama, only a very challenging environment with great people :-)
