4th of July

So 4th of July weekend was a pretty good long weekend, but I did forget my camera, so I really don't have too many pictures :-(

Over the weekend I was going to go to SunSites on July 3rd for the town's softball tournament like I did last year (as you can see from the previous blog last year), however I got sick after eating Taco Bell :-( which was a HUGE BUMMER.  I was pretty sad to not be able to go this year, but I heard that our team got 2nd place and loss in the finals, so we definitely got further this year and hopefully next year will be the winning year!!!

Other than laying in bed for the 1st half of the long weekend, on the 4th I went to Ikea and got a table and chairs! FINALLY!!  Here is an online pic of the table:

So this is it 'condensed'.  The really cool thing about the table is the butterfly leaf that tucks away into the table.  No large leafs that are hard to move or need somewhere to be stored :-)

So later on the 4th I went to Tucson to spend some time with Cal and Hilary.  I completely forgot my camera which I am really bummed about because I wanted to take photos of our fun evening and of their home.  Cal recently bought a home in which both him and Hilary live in.  The first time I went there was in the beginning of June/ end of May and the house had a lot of work that was necessary.  All the pipes were being replaced so there was holes all over the walls, random spots with wallpaper and peeling paint, and just a lot of work to make the place liveable.  Since I then, Cal and Hilary were able to do a ton of work on the place and get it painted and all set up even with a guest room!  Their home is really turning out and I am so bummed I wasn't able to take photos, but hopefully I will be able to post some later on.

I did take a few photos from Chad & Joselyn's house party that evening, but only one of Hilary on the couch (when she was ready to go) and the following:

For any of you who do know Cal, you know that he is not a big fan of dogs because he says the poop 'everywhere'.  So what happens to Cal?  He stepped in poop when we went outside to look at fireworks: something he has been deserving for a while (Tido and KC agree).  lol

Later that night we rented the movie: Did you hear about the Morgans?

Now- I don't know if I was just tired or something, but this is definitely not a movie I would recommend.  It was pretty cliche and it didn't make me like Sarah Jessica Parker more.  If you did like it and would recommend it, sorry, but maybe you can correct me on it because I was watching it really late at night.

After spending the evening with Hilary and Cal and eating delicious organic waffles, I was able to meet up with Brandi for lunch at Pei Wei.  I miss that woman :-)  Also, later that evening I was able to spend time with my boyfriend who went to Joey's wedding in California.

So that was my 4th of July weekend.  A lot happened, but I wish it was longer...
