Cooking Adventures

So rencently I have attempted to eat out less and cook a little more.   This last week I have cooked/prepared the following items plus I made some pepper steak (but I don't have any pictures of that):

Sautéed Spinach
This my first try at actually cooking spinach.  I know I added too much garlic, but since I am a big fan of garlic, it worked out.  I will be asking my cooking expert, ie Dionne for some seasoning tips for next time.

Pasta Night #1 with Kenny
This was our first pasta night!  Since living in Tucson, Kenny and I have been cooking together (because we have the same taste in food and enjoy cooking) as often as possible.  Now we have taken on a new challenge to master cooking pasta from scratch.  This was our first attempt and I think it went VERY well.  Above you can see Kenny actually making the pasta and getting ready to roll it out.  This time we made fettuccine pasta with  marinara sauce.

Here I am making the sauce.  Kenny did the pasta while I made the sauce from scratch.  It had stewed tomatoes (that I diced), crushed tomatoes, onions, peppers, ground beef (not too much meat though), oregano, basil, brown sugar, pepper and probably some other things that I can't recall at the moment.  I didn't measure anything, which felt very risky and adventurous, lol. and I am so proud that I didn't add any salt.

Chopped Southwest Chicken Salad Remake
(TRY #1)
Here are just the ingredients of my salad that turned out pretty good, but I think I need to get a 'chopper' such as the following to really cut the spinach.  This is what they had at chopped and may be my next kitchen purchase after a salt and pepper shaker.
